Here
are some comments from Companies using Townsend Turf machinery. |

From
Nick Pattison, Principal of Turf'N'Earth
We purchased our Turf Mate in 1997. The machine
has been used to prepare several hundreds of thousands
of square metres of lawns. I estimate it has completed
between 7 and 8 thousand hours of work. We have replaced
bearings on the discs twice. No other maintenance has
been required. The Turf Mate is quite simply an outstanding
implement. It is versatile, easy to operate and produces
an excellent finish in less than half the time of other
machines and methods. It is the best investment in equipment
I have ever made by a long way - most machinery we use
requires costly repairs, maintenance and replacement
within three years. The Turf Mate seems indestructible!
I anticipate many more trouble free years and highly
productive profitable service from this brilliant device.

From
Mike Sellars, Operations Manager, Renovations and Development,
Recreational Turf Services Ltd
As the Turf Mate has minimal moving parts, it is great
not having to maintain a PTO shaft and the grease nipples
are easily accessed. I chose the Turf Mate because of
its size, versatility, ease of use, low maintenance, design
and strength. It is specifically designed for turf work
and is built to take the knocks. Since the Turf Mate is
able to perform multiple functions, it does away with
the need for leveling bars, rippers and other such leveling
equipment, thereby minimising costs.
I
am very happy with our purchase of two Townsend Turf
Mates and am impressed with the service that Townsend
Turf gave with training our staff in the correct usage
of the equipment.

From
Tony Fabricius, Partner, Soil Aerations Services
The
Turf Mate does not require as much maintenance as other
machinery we have previously used. The major benefits
of the Turf Mate is it's ability to perform multiple functions
all within the one machine thereby eliminating the requirement
of other machines.
The
Turf Mate is our most used piece of machinery as the
narrow disc spacing provides an advantage over other
drills. We chose the Turf Mate because it was able to
perform more than one job, easily attaches to the tractor,
is manoeuvrable in tight areas and has low horse power
requirements.
Overall,
the Turf Mate has performed even better than expected
and has proved reliable over a large acreage.
